LEÓN WEARS

Lucas has been living in his A Little Bundle essential shirt and shorts. This set is an exclusive collaboration between ALB and Good boy Friday. I swear I have been mixing and matching both pieces almost daily. The fabric is so so soft and I think he just looks absolutely adorable! You can read more about the collaboration (and his ALB x Woven Play scavenger pouch!) over on Babiekins

BLOESEM KIDS

So this happened and I kind of freaked. I was scrolling through my blog reader on Thursday when I saw Lucas’s little mug on the newest post from Bloesem Kids. I have been a long time fan of Bloesem and this was the ultimate surprise and honor! I was featured in their #Binstamommies series, a round-up of Instagram mamas that I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of. A huge thank you to Irene and Zara! You can see previous mamas from the series here.

WE NEST | A TEEPEE FOR LUCAS

If you can’t tell from that last photo, Lucas is pretty stoked about his new teepee from LJ Teepees. We have been hoarding this bad boy for a while now and I really don’t know who was more excited about finally being able to play in it – me or Lucas. We can go with Lucas here but it must be noted that my excitement level was pretty high on the charts. This thing is awesome. We both fit in it (hurrah!) so it’s perfect for reading time, sharing secrets, and just plain hanging out.

“A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2014.”
There’s a little man living in my apartment who loves to wear nothing but a pull-up, rain boots, and a back pack (to store his treasures, of course). Yea. It’s pretty stinking adorable.

MILK + BOTS

Yet another reason why I love Instagram so dang much (like I need another reason ;). I recently discovered Milk + Bots – a new shop for the kiddos that launches TODAY! I have been following along as Soo Kim (shop owner and fellow mama to son Warren) has been posting sneak peeks into the shop, each one better than the last. Milk + Bots is now open for business and you can shop till you drop!
Not only is Soo’s shop perfectly curated, she’s an inspiration. I admire a mama who goes after her dreams and sees it through to fruition. I had the chance to speak with Soo and here’s what she had to say:

What inspired you to start Milk + Bots?
What inspired me to start is wanting to do something I truly love and look forward to everyday. I’m a bit obsessed with kids fashion and always hunting for products that embrace creativity. There are so many amazing kids labels that aren’t available everywhere and I get asked all the time where I shop for my son. One thing led to another and I decided to go for it! Warren is a big part of my inspiration – of course.

What were you doing before Milk + Bots?
I was in grad school and in classrooms to become a teacher but I got pregnant and became a stay at home mom. When my son becomes older I still plan on becoming a teacher because I just love the innocence and the world of kids. Growing up is so overrated!

What do you look for when scouting items for your shop?
What I look for when thoughtfully curating collections for my shop is individuality and creativity. I have a passion for quality and design and I love designers that embrace that also. I like to carry new and emerging brands and especially unisex clothing.

Congratulations Soo! Milk + Bots is here and it’s pretty freaking awesome! You can also read more on Babiekins

LUCAS, A DOLLHOUSE, AND A TURTLE

This week we received Lucas’s new Rock & Pebble pear house from Murray & Finn. Point blank – it’s awesome. It’s beautifully crafted and is a blank canvas for your child’s imagination. I especially love the adorable pebble people. Lucas squealed when we put it together and wouldn’t ya know. The first thing he did was run to his room to grab his Donatello. He placed him in the house and proclaimed “my home!”. Yep. A house sure as heck is not a home without a little turtle action. I quite think Donatello makes an excellent addition. Maybe Rock & Pebble will come out with Ninja Turtle themed pebble figurines? Just saying. Christmas 2014 anyone? And ps – Murray & Finn is one of the cutest, wonderfully curated children’s shops I’ve come across. Not only is it basically perfect, the mamas behind the shop are the absolute sweetest! I was featured on their blog in their new ‘Mamas & Little Ones’ series. Thanks so much for having us ladies!

NOT QUITE THREE

I just adore these shots that Ivan took of Lucas and I. It was early morning and Dora was playing. Lucas had just finished his bottle and we were having our usual snuggle session. Lucas has become so very generous with kisses and puckers his lips justttt so. I don’t know what is it but I’ve become increasingly emotional the closer we get to his 3rd birthday. The other day somebody asked how old Lucas was and I replied two years. Then it hit me. We only have four months left until my boy turns 3. I swear I feel like we just planned his 2nd birthday party. This year has flew by at lightening speed. I wish I could bottle up his sweet snuggles, those giggles, and the kisses. Oh the kisses. I’m going to spend the next few months relishing in the fact that my boy is not quite three and soaking up all the goodness and hilarity that two has to offer. And then we move on to the three’s. Which I know are going to bring new adventures and milestones. But until then..my sweet two year old baby he’ll be.

LEÓN WEARS

Pineapples for the win! Lucas’s tee is from the most adorable shop, Moozega. Made from organic cotton I’m in love with the black and white print. Summery yet chic! I can totally picture Lucas rocking this tee straight through the Fall layered with a knit cardigan. Because my love for pineapples is year round. Shop Lucas’s tee here and follow Moozega on Instagram

Your favorite summer treat – firecrackers. They remind me of my childhood summers in NYC and now you love them just as much as mama. Side note: your bobos all lined up in a row. I promise we are working on this!

MAMA WEARS

Over the weekend my mother in law graciously watched the kid and Ivan and I were able to have a few hours to celebrate and hang with friends. I got to doll myself up and indulge in sangria. We came home to a sleeping bub and promptly fell asleep ourselves. A sangria coma if you will. The next morning we woke up to 5 loads of laundry and Frozen. Back to reality – it was fun while it lasted.I wore my go to high waisted trousers  (last season’s Zara) and a sheer, strapless blouse that has been a staple in my closet for years (purchased on a trip to Puerto Rico). My clutch is an Urban Outfitters clearance find.
