Spring in NYC. Pretty much the best (after Fall of course ;). As soon as that warm breeze hits the air, I am itching to be out of the house every day. My very favorite place to go with the kids is Central Park. The Conservatory in particular is absolutely stunning with it’s fountains, gardens, and maze-like pathways which Lucas loves to run through. I got to have a play date there last week with H&M, Heymama, and one of my very best friends in the world (since we were 11 you guys!). Pretty sweet! Viviana, the babies, and I all wore H&M and just walked around the park. It was perfect. I’m obsessed with this seasons selects at H&M (that red dress is my absolute fave and it was only $20. I mean…) and they have always been my go-to for staples for the entire family.

The best part of the afternoon was watching our little girls kiss and interact and of course seeing all the beautiful blossoms popping up. There is nothing better than beautiful, pink covered trees. Trust me on this!

Heymama asked Viviana and I to take a little friendship quiz and it was so much fun. You can read our answers below:

AN EAST VILLAGE SUPER HERO PARTY

IMG_6225 IMG_6240 IMG_6236 IMG_6250 IMG_6248 IMG_6257 IMG_6271 IMG_6280 IMG_6227 IMG_6262

One of the many, many perks of living in NYC – absolutely amazing parties in the best parks. Seriously. It does not get better than this. Last weekend we headed down to the East Village to celebrate sweet Lucien’s 3rd birthday party. It was super hero themed and Lucas was pretty stoked to be Kid Flash. There was pizza, cake, and in true NYC fashion – live guitar playing right in the middle of the playground. The weather was perfect and it was a sweet taste of the magical Spring weekends to come.

On a side note, that black book bag in the photos? It’s our new XLR8 Diaper Bag. I wanted to mention it here because I’m obsessed. Ready for this? Besides the standard diaper bag features (changing mat, tons of storage, insulated pockets) it has a CHARGING STATION. AND A SPEAKER. Say what?! So you can be our of the house all day and charge your phones on the go (when your battery dies after taking 1000 pics of the kids ;). The speaker has been amazing for our family picnics. Who doesn’t love music in the park?

MAMI + MINI | I

IMG_6288 IMG_6289 IMG_6292 IMG_6284

I have always dreamed of the day when I would match my little girl. I have absolutely no shame and have certainly tried to pull this off with Lucas but there’s something so sweet about sharing my style with Lillie. So here we are, my very first mami + mini post! Our very first pair of matching shoes! These are from Avarcas and I’m obsessed! I have always been a high fan of Pons, they are beautiful AND comfortable and our matching pair is perfect for Spring and Summer. Excuse my while I go peruse the internets for more matchy matchy attire. I’m thinking denim skirts!

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM

It’s officially March and I’m dreaming of Spring. Who’s with me? I can close my eyes and smell the grass, the warm breeze, and hear Lucas’s squeals as he runs through the park. I miss the beautiful flowers blooming in Central Park and our family picnics. Lillie was born in August and we had a short but sweet taste of what life would be like as a family of four come the warmer days. No bulky jackets and layers upon layers, missing mittens, and kids who want to rip off hats even when it’s 10 degrees outside. I’m pretty over running home to avoid the cold after school pick up is done and anxiously awaiting Ivan to get home. I love being active with the kids and there are so many adventures awaiting us – museum dates, exploring Central Park (because even though I have lived in NYC my entire life there are always new pockets to be discovered), Lillie experiencing the feeling of grass between her bitty toes, and lots and lots of pop-pops (as Lucas calls them) from the ice cream truck. I am waiting for our little apartment to be flooded with delicious light and for the windows to be cracked open letting in that glorious Spring breeze. I want the sun to hit our cheeks. I want my freckles to come back. Spring, we are ready.

BUGABOO X DIESEL COLLECTION | III

Last weekend the fan and I had the best staycation. We crossed the water and spent the weekend in Hoboken. It was just what we needed – truly! We stayed with Mary and her beautiful clan at the W Hoboken. The hotel is stunning, the rooms are gorgeous, and the facilities are extremely child friendly. Don’t get me started on the views. AMAZING. We had the best time exploring Hoboken with our Bugaboo strollers. I can’t believe it was the first time we had ever been. It actually reminded me a little of Brooklyn. Quaint and full of amazing shops and family friendly restaurants.

7 Months With Miss Sol

IMG_9537 copy IMG_9590 copy IMG_9542 copy IMG_9533 copy IMG_9538 copy IMG_9571 copy

It has been almost 7 months with our Lillie Sol. The time has flown by in a way that I never expected. The newborn days and feeling like a zombie ALL day have passed but in a weird way I almost miss it. I honestly can’t even remember how tiny her little limbs were or how her eyes barely opened or even how tiny her newborn diapers fit. It all feels like a blur. I think the second time around you are just trying to say afloat – taking care of two kids, answering to everyones needs, and not having that same down time where all you do is lay around in bed all day taking care of one little human. I have school pick up, dinner to make, and legos to build. All in addition to nurturing a baby.

I am finally getting the hang of it all. Lillie and I have our morning routine – she nurses, we watch a little Wendy Williams (no judgement please ;), and play. She is so active and alert. We call her our nosy girl because she needs to be involved in everything and is extremely curious. Mid feed she will pop off my breast to check out who is talking, laugh a little, give me a smile, and then continue nursing. She is fiercely attached to mama and in the last week she has started nuzzling her sweet, soft cheeks into my neck when I pick her up. Even when I am exhausted and feeling like if one more person touches me I might scream, her hugs get me every time. She is talking up a storm and can babble for hours on end. I’m prettyyyyy sure her first word will be mama. Sorry dad!

Lillie Sol, you have rocked our world. We prayed for you and God gifted us with your beautiful soul. At just 7 months you are feisty, tenacious, and hilarious. You were the missing piece to our family puzzle and I am the luckiest mama in the world. My daughter! Te amo princesa!

GROWING UP WITH PLUM ORGANICS

IMG_5270

Time is a beast, no? I seriously can’t believe Lillie Sol is 6 months. At her last well visit, her pediatrician and I discussed the introduction of solids and it was bittersweet to say the least. With Lucas I was always excited and ready for the next milestone. This time around I am desperately trying to find a way to make time slow down. Any mom out there with the secret? No, seriously.

IMG_5222 IMG_5252 IMG_5228 IMG_5234 IMG_5278 IMG_5227 IMG_5237 IMG_5247 IMG_5249 IMG_5268

About a week after Lillie’s appointment I received an email from Plum Organics and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. They recently introduced a new line of Grow Well pouches with a focus on giving your baby a delicious meal full of nutrients using organic ingredients to address additional functional needs for baby.

While some moms may scoff at pouches, I have always been a big fan. They were the perfect solution for Lucas when we were on the go and I most definitely plan on using them with Lillie while we are out and about in the city. Plum Organics has changed the pouch game with their new pouches. The line is made up of four pouches: DHA, Tummy, Muscle, and Bone. All important and vital for our growing babes. As a mom, I couldn’t ask for anything more. If you’d like to try these for your own little one, Plum Organics has provided a coupon code for $1 off your purchase. Score!

Cheers to growing babes and keeping them healthy and happy. Thank you Plum Organics for making this mama’s life a bit easier!

This post was sponsored by Plum Organics through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select. While I was compensated to write about their Grow Well products, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands I love and trust!
