POTTY TRAINING. WE’RE JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU.

We have technically started potty training but there hasn’t been much progress. We bought the pull-ups, have the potty (well I should hope so, right?), and have big boy undies (sniff sniff). Even armed with all the necessities, Lucas isn’t having it. “No way, man” he says while shaking his head when I ask him to join me in the bathroom. That thumbs up he’s giving in the photo above? Don’t believe that cute mug for a second. He’s just working on his acting skills ;)This weekend I’m planning on creating a potty chart. I’m headed to the store to pick up new supplies: poster board, stickers, and his favorite lollipops. We haven’t accomplished much else besides looking extra cute. I’m hoping for a new and improved update to share with you in the coming weeks. In the mean time, if any of my fellow mamas have any tricks or tips I’d love to hear them!

leave his nappy off for a couple of hours, maybe in the mornings, my son is 2 1/2 and it only took him a week or two to get the idea that pee is not so great for legs :) there may be accidents but it definitely helped !! he now wears no nappies during the day, and makes a run for the bathroom when he needs to go !

Thanks for the tip! I admit I am a bit nervous to have him without a diaper on!! I will try and let you know how he does :)

Good luck! I can’t wait to hear more about this. We are just a month or two away from starting the same process and I feel like I don’t even know where to start. Oh’ and are these just the cutest undies ever? Adorable!

Thanks mama! I’ve been dreading this but with his school starting to potty train I know I have to reinforce it at home. Will deff. keep the blog updated!! And yes, aren’t they darling?! Such a big boy :)

I started taking diapers off for 2 hours in the morning and two hours in the evening. Each time asking my daughter if she had to go potty about every 15 minutes. She had a few accidents but quickly realized she hated wet undies. Only took a few days 😉 a lot of positive reinforcement too and treats of course 😉

I left my son completely naked for a weekend, he only wore pull ups to nap and at night. He had no choice but to use the potty granted there were accidents but by the second day he caught on. Good luck! Those boys can be stubborn and lazy but with no other option they can be “forced” into using the potty.
