ICE CREAM WEATHER

Sixty degree temps are meant for walks around the hood and ice cream cones from baskin robbins. Wouldn’t you agree? Lucas is such a ham these days. I mean, he has always had one heck of a personality but in the past few weeks he has become such a riot. He’s the star of our world is what he is! Look at those poses! That’s all him – no stage mom coaching necessary 😉 And that red house? He takes it EVERYWHERE. We can’t leave the house without. It’s filled with all his favorite toys and lately he has become obsessed with ninja turtles which he lovingly calls his “turssssss”. Close enough buddy. If you follow me on Instagram you will notice I have been using the hashtag #lucasandhisredhouse, because seriously this thing makes an appearance in almost every photo. And can we talk about the weather? Tank tops and leopard print camper hats for the win! This year Lucas was selected to become a Sly Fox Threads brand rep and we are loving every piece from their spring/summer collection. I’m so excited to share more looks in the next few weeks! xo

HUGO LOVES TIKI

My tiny garcon and I adore Union Square park. Sunday morning we were headed to a very special photo shoot with Sakura Bloom (eek! I will be sharing more soon!) and when the cab pulled up to our favorite entrance (yes, toddlers have a favorite EVERYTHING) we took a few minutes to relax and enjoy the weather. A big thank you to Hugo Loves Tiki for Lucas’s adorable sweater and mamas new favorite Spring bag! I’m so in love with the entire collection and I can’t wait to hang these prints (this and THIS!) in Lucas’s new room. Tomorrow we are expecting a snow storm so back to jacket weather it is. I am dreaming of warm weather and toting my new jus d’orange tote to Central Park picnics.                          sweater and tote c/o hugo loves tiki | hat (thrifted) | jeans from baby zara | moccs c/o freshly picked

TIME TO STOCK UP ON WINTER FAVORITES

Carousel NY, one of my very favorite shops (with the sweetest, loveliest owner!), is having their winter sale. This is the last week to scoop up your faves with an extra 10% off – just use the code extra10 at checkout. I’m known for buying Lucas staple items at the end of each season. Is it weird I love re-discovering clothes I have previously purchased six months prior?! I might have a problem 😉 Either way now is the time to get what you really wanted for next winter.  I’m just a little obsessed with this jacket from Macarons.

LEÓN WEARS

This past weekend we received a little glimmer of hope from the Spring Gods. A high of 55 and sunshine. Lots of it. It was just what we needed to get us out of our winter funk (even if it’s just temporary). We headed to the park to soak it all in. The snow was melting and there were giant puddles everywhere – toddler heaven! On that note, many of you have asked via Instagram just how durable our beloved Freshly Picked Moccasins are and if they are in fact appropriate for toddlers. Please see above. Lucas jumped in every single puddle that crossed his path – at this point I have given up on trying to stop him. let toddlers be toddlers is my motto 😉 – and completely soaked his moccs. These camo bad boys dried up by the time we got home and there was not one sign of puddle abuse. Hence why we love FP so so much (besides the gorgeous colors, etc., etc.!). And his jacket? It’s by New Generals,  an insanely modern, chic, and eco-friendly children’s label. A new favorite!

BOBO CHOSES | MANIFESTO SS14

Bobo Choses, how I love you. I have been a huge fan of BC since Lucas was infant. Each season is better than the last and their Spring/Summer collection is off the charts. A vintage wardrobe collection after this mamas heart. Both whimsical and eclectic, I’m in love with every piece. You can find an amazing selection of the collection at one of my very favorite shops, Line + Liv.

CAROUSEL NEW YORK POP UP SHOP

The lovely children’s shop Carousel NY will be having their very first pop – up shop next week! They carry some of my favorite brands including Shampoodle, Indikidual, and Munster Kids. The pop – up shop will feature some serious mark downs on AW13 collections. They will also be debuting some of their brand spanking new SS14 collections. It’s the perfect event for the whole family – the parentals can shop and the kids will be entertained with balloons, finger paints, and yummy goodies.
Stop by the Soho shop anytime beginning this Saturday. The event will take place daily until February 14th. I’ll be there with Lucas and I hope to see many of your beautiful faces! Let the shopping commence.

I was recently introduced to Kira Kids..fashion goodness I tell ya! When our package arrived the first thing I noticed were the bold prints. Hip and modern (to satisfy mama) and absolutely adorable and fun (for Mr. Lucas of course). Who doesn’t love a bear rocking out with his boombox? So very 90’s chic! The fabric is soft – Like really soft, and holds up great in the wash (one of my biggest pet peeves is purchasing something for Lucas only to have it hanging on by a thread – literally – after just a few washes. major bonus points, Kira Kids!). Some of my favorite pieces in the collection include this cool dude, this guy, and this sweet dress for the princess in your life. I’m also seriously loving their curated Valentine’s shop, just in time to look extra adorable for Cupid.

Coming soon..Lucas in the raddest Kira Kids NYC cardigan. xo

Disclaimer: these photos were taken before Lucas went off to Florida. Mama is missing this face something fierce.

A rainy walk was in order for this duo (Lucas loves the rain..well, holding his umbrella ;). Off we went to visit my girlfriend who lives in the neighborhood for our first Shabbat dinner! We stopped at the local bodega to pick out flowers as we wanted to be gracious guests. Lucas actually made the final choice and selected gorgeous peonies. Our host loved them – good choice, baby! We had a fabulous dinner and Lucas received quite a few compliments on his adorable, comfy attire. I think I might be sporting the sweat suit look this weekend. Are toddlers the only ones who can get away with this look? I think if I look as cute as Lucas I’ll take my chances.
