I love matching with my boy. Seriously..I hope he always enjoys coordinating with his mama (one can dream, no?). I am a huge fan of easy slip-on sneakers that I can throw on with just about anything and when I discovered Bucketfeet I was hooked. You must must check out their children’s collection – cutest shoes EVER. Learn more about this awesome company over on Babiekins today. There might also be some more terribly adorable Lucas snaps. Just saying.

The weather was unseasonably warm last weekend which meant lots of layers to take on and off and a trip to Brooklyn. I got the chance to wear my new favorite wardrobe staple and rock it for a while sans jacket. Heavenly! I had been drooling over For Love and Lemons Knitz Collection for months and when they sent me their Solstice Sweater I was in sweater love! I mean. Sweater. Perfection. Will Ivan find it acceptable if I wear it everyday? Here’s hoping. You can head over to Babiekins to see a few more photos.

Lucas was dressed in head to toe cute (yes, cute) in his Duck Egg Republic hoodie and trousers. This insanely adorable company is based in Poland and is full of classic styles perfect for both boys and girls. I love the simple, modern designs and the fact that I can easily transition the pieces for Spring. And yes, I’m ready for you warm weather!

WEEKEND STYLE

After a crazy, hectic week with a toddler there is sometimes nothing better than a weekend indoors. We always try and get out for a little adventure (even if that means a walk around the block) but I think it’s safe to say my boys and I love our down time. Comfy threads, snuggles, and sometimes a bit too much television. These are some of my favorite shots from last weekend (you can see more over on Babiekins). Is it Saturday yet? xx

A FAVORITE TEE, SCARF, AND SOME THOUGHTS

IMG_2540 IMG_2465 IMG_2515 IMG_2481 IMG_2486
A favorite tee indeed. Kind of like your go-to, get dressed up, run to the supermarket, jack of all trades kind of tee. And this scarf? Oh just the coziest, chic, pull your outfit together scarf of all scarfs. More of this look over on Babiekins today! Also, how is October almost over? I’m genuinely sad to see it go however I’m certain November is going to be pretty kick ass. Lucas’s birthday. Thanksgiving. Bring on the parties and turkey legs! Birthday planning is in full swing and this is the first year Lucas genuinely understands what is happening. We have been having adorable conversations about the invite list and what kind of decorations he wants. The boy is full of opinions and I love it. Just like mama.

Red. Check! Polka dots. Check! Sometimes Lucas and I like to match – no judgment please :). How adorable is his new tee from Kid & Kind? It’s called the “happy little guy” tee. So very fitting for my boy! His sweats are from boy + girl (see details here!). My dress is from The Freebird Shop and you can see more of this look over on Babiekins. xx

MADRE

No matter where life takes me, one thing is for certain. I am a mother. Lucas’s mother. It is the most fulfilling, rewarding, crazy, hectic, heart warming job in the world. He is my greatest achievement and when someone asks me “what do you do” my first response is – I am a MOM. I kinda wish I could rock this tee everyday. It made me feel all “I am mama, hear me roar!”. I loved all the smiles I received while walking hand in hand with Lucas. Thank you Riley & Co for creating the perfect tee for this Madre                On Lucas: hat c/o sly fox Threads | sweater from uniglo | leggings c/o lot 801 | sneakers from walmart

MAMA WEARS

Over the weekend my mother in law graciously watched the kid and Ivan and I were able to have a few hours to celebrate and hang with friends. I got to doll myself up and indulge in sangria. We came home to a sleeping bub and promptly fell asleep ourselves. A sangria coma if you will. The next morning we woke up to 5 loads of laundry and Frozen. Back to reality – it was fun while it lasted.I wore my go to high waisted trousers  (last season’s Zara) and a sheer, strapless blouse that has been a staple in my closet for years (purchased on a trip to Puerto Rico). My clutch is an Urban Outfitters clearance find.

THE PERFECT DATE

Over the weekend we dolled ourselves up and headed to my God sister’s baby shower. We had an amazing time celebrating and Lucas was extra well behaved. He ate what I served him, said please and thank you, and listened to mamas instructions. He was the perfect gentleman! It didn’t hurt that he looked extra adorable in his little twonager ensemble (there’s something about a white tee that gets me every time).
I love our dates and one on one time together (papi sat this one out). I say this every couple of months but this is such an awesome age! We have been having the best convos and laughs. He thinks I’m the funniest and I think he’s the greatest. We are pretty much the perfect team.

PRETTY LITTLE THINGS

My new skirt aka my new favorite eye candy from Dana-Leigh Apparel. You can see how I styled it here.

This sparkly beauty has been hanging over our bed for over a year and I still haven’t tired of it. The colors are just too good.

Oh, deer! Ivan despises her but she’s my homie. Yep. She is. And look how pretty she looks wearing my vintage hat.

Neon moccs. Neon PINK moccs. They will be released May 15th.

Gold border polaroids.
