Lucas: This weekend you got a little taste of being a big brother. My dear friend spent the weekend with us with her beautiful 11 month old baby. There were a few pinches and pokes but overall you were curious and excited.

Bebe: 7 more weeks to go! Strangers have been coming up to me saying things such as “you look like you are ready to pop!” “due any day now!”. I get all worked up and think we still have a ways to go but in actuality we are going to meet you SO SOON!

Lucas: You are warming up to the idea of your baby sis which makes my heart just want to explode with happiness. When I picked you up from school this week your teacher told me that you were announcing to your class “mommy has a baby girl in her belly!”.

Bebe: I feel your kicks and jabs more than ever now and tums have become my best friend. You are a wiggly princess!

Lucas: Lately your favorite activity is puzzles. We even call you the puzzle prince because we swear nobody is as good at completing puzzles as you are!

Bebe: 29 weeks and you are as big as a small cabbage. Most days my belly is shaped into a point and I can’t tell if you’re jamming your head, a foot, or an elbow into me.

Lucas: Living that farm life in the Dominican Republic.

Bebe: Growing big and strong on the Island (and loving all of the food ;).

Lucas: Quiet moments with you are just so sweet (though very rare). Here you are taking a moment to relax and eat your favorite cereal – fruit loops.

Bebe: When I checked my pregnancy app this week I couldn’t believe that it said you are approximately 15 inches! Lucas was 19.5 inches when he was born and it hit me just how soon you will actually be here.

Lucas: We had a busy week – park dates, events, and lots of one on one time. Seriously kid, I couldn’t have asked for a better side kick. You make everything louder, sillier, and just plain better.

Bebe: 26 weeks..26 WEEKS! We are exactly three months away from having you in our arms. We all love you so very much already.

Lucas: We are leaving to the Dominican Republic in less than 2 weeks and I can’t wait to see you strolling the island with your papi. That sweet, sun-kissed skin will be perfect for mama kisses!

Bebe: We are 25 weeks and you are the size of rutabaga (I had to look that one up..). Your kicks are getting stronger and we can now see my belly jump when you wiggle around.

Lucas: My wild child..a moment of calm.

Bebe: You are kicking more and giving your mama lots of heartburn!

Lucas: You are just as excited as I am for the warm weather. As we walked to the bus today in just our sweaters you said “it’s so warm!” with the biggest smile.

Bebe: 6 months this week. The time is flying by mi niña. I have a sonogram scheduled tomorrow and I’m so excited I get to see you my love!

Lucas: We had an amazing week – complete with a movie date to see home. You have been repeating movie lines and telling everyone the knock-knock interrupting cow joke. “Mooooooo!” 

Bebe: Daddy and I have been thinking of the perfect middle name for you my little one.

Lucas: You went to work with daddy on Friday and had the best time. You are learning so much from him and there is nothing that makes me happier than seeing my handsome boys loving each other. (Ps – thank you Ivan for being the ultimate role model for our boy. Te amo.)

Bebe: 21 weeks and you are the size of a banana. I still can’t believe we will get to hold you in our arms in just 4 months.
