Last weekend the fan and I had the best staycation. We crossed the water and spent the weekend in Hoboken. It was just what we needed – truly! We stayed with Mary and her beautiful clan at the W Hoboken. The hotel is stunning, the rooms are gorgeous, and the facilities are extremely child friendly. Don’t get me started on the views. AMAZING. We had the best time exploring Hoboken with our Bugaboo strollers. I can’t believe it was the first time we had ever been. It actually reminded me a little of Brooklyn. Quaint and full of amazing shops and family friendly restaurants.
During our stay Mary and I had the amazing opportunity to try out some amazing threads from Anje. That coat? Everything! Basically we had the perfect weekend. Take me back, please!
It has been almost 7 months with our Lillie Sol. The time has flown by in a way that I never expected. The newborn days and feeling like a zombie ALL day have passed but in a weird way I almost miss it. I honestly can’t even remember how tiny her little limbs were or how her eyes barely opened or even how tiny her newborn diapers fit. It all feels like a blur. I think the second time around you are just trying to say afloat – taking care of two kids, answering to everyones needs, and not having that same down time where all you do is lay around in bed all day taking care of one little human. I have school pick up, dinner to make, and legos to build. All in addition to nurturing a baby.
I am finally getting the hang of it all. Lillie and I have our morning routine – she nurses, we watch a little Wendy Williams (no judgement please ;), and play. She is so active and alert. We call her our nosy girl because she needs to be involved in everything and is extremely curious. Mid feed she will pop off my breast to check out who is talking, laugh a little, give me a smile, and then continue nursing. She is fiercely attached to mama and in the last week she has started nuzzling her sweet, soft cheeks into my neck when I pick her up. Even when I am exhausted and feeling like if one more person touches me I might scream, her hugs get me every time. She is talking up a storm and can babble for hours on end. I’m prettyyyyy sure her first word will be mama. Sorry dad!
Lillie Sol, you have rocked our world. We prayed for you and God gifted us with your beautiful soul. At just 7 months you are feisty, tenacious, and hilarious. You were the missing piece to our family puzzle and I am the luckiest mama in the world. My daughter! Te amo princesa!
Time is a beast, no? I seriously can’t believe Lillie Sol is 6 months. At her last well visit, her pediatrician and I discussed the introduction of solids and it was bittersweet to say the least. With Lucas I was always excited and ready for the next milestone. This time around I am desperately trying to find a way to make time slow down. Any mom out there with the secret? No, seriously.
About a week after Lillie’s appointment I received an email from Plum Organics and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. They recently introduced a new line of Grow Well pouches with a focus on giving your baby a delicious meal full of nutrients using organic ingredients to address additional functional needs for baby.
While some moms may scoff at pouches, I have always been a big fan. They were the perfect solution for Lucas when we were on the go and I most definitely plan on using them with Lillie while we are out and about in the city. Plum Organics has changed the pouch game with their new pouches. The line is made up of four pouches: DHA, Tummy, Muscle, and Bone. All important and vital for our growing babes. As a mom, I couldn’t ask for anything more. If you’d like to try these for your own little one, Plum Organics has provided a coupon code for $1 off your purchase. Score!
Cheers to growing babes and keeping them healthy and happy. Thank you Plum Organics for making this mama’s life a bit easier!
This post was sponsored by Plum Organics through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select. While I was compensated to write about their Grow Well products, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands I love and trust!
The best part of being part of the Bugaboo Diesel campaign? Being able to adventure in my own backyard with my little loves and one of my favorite mamas ever – Mary Grace. Last week we headed out with the kids for some much needed mama/girl time and coffee. Mary captured my babes and I strolling around with our denim Buffalo..pretty much the sweetest stroller. Lillie is a certified princess in her ride and knocks out almost instantly in her bassinet (thank you Bugaboo!). Lucas loves his comfort board and it makes my life SO much easier when traveling around the city with both kids.
I can’t wait to share more snaps of our Bugaboo adventures..make sure to continue following along on Instagram. You can find tons of amazing family and stroller shots using the hashtag #BugabooDiesel.
A day at home with my tribe. My people. My family. My loves. These images were shot and edited by the wonderful Danila Mednikov (you can see part I of our “story” here). My daughter. My son. My fiancé. Sometimes I have to pinch myself. Life can be hard sometimes. The roller coaster of motherhood is real and raw. But damn, life can be so very good. I look at these images and I’m reminded of my beautiful blessings and what a lucky woman I am. Word of the day: thankful.
“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2015.”
I can’t believe we are at week 52. I’m so thankful for this project – how amazing will it be to look back on these weekly portraits and see the tiny changes in my babies that can sometimes go overlooked on a day to day. I’m planning to continue in 2016 although I’m trying to decide if I will do a weekly family portrait as opposed to individual photos. I guess I have a few days to decide 😉
Cheers to a year of growth, our baby girl, tales of pre-k, and celebrating life with my other half. 2016 – we are ready for you!

Lucas: Four so far is SO good! Christmas this year is proving to be the best yet – you are so ready for Santa to come and have been asking questions about the elves and his reindeer. The best question so far has been: “how is Santa going to get in? we don’t have a chimney.”
Lillie: That smile..when you wake up from your naps you greet me with a happy, toothless grin that melts me every time.

Lucas: Somebody please tell me how 2015 is almost over? Last week you had an epic meltdown where you told me that I broke your heart (I discussed the fact that you love using this line nowadays in last weeks portrait post..). I let you know that it was in fact NOT broken. You then turned around, looked me straight in the eye, and told me “IT’S ALREADY BROKEN”. Just stop it right now kid.
Lillie: We had a well visit 2 weeks ago and we are already discussing the introduction to solids. How did we get here this fast?! Slow down baby girl!
My go-to brand for the perfect (and I mean perfect) tee just launched a new collection just for the kids. Everlane Mini is an 11 piece collection that includes yummy cashmere hoodies, beanies, and classic tees. The color pallet is muted and modern and it’s intended to match seamlessly with your own wardrobe. Their motto? Dress your kids the same way you dress yourself. Needless to say I’m in love.
Did I mention that my Lucas León is that adorable model you see up there? Yep. I’m a very proud mama bear. I know i’m biased but I think Lucas totally rocked this campaign! A very big thank you to Everlane for choosing my boy to represent this incredibly swoon worthy collection for the kids. PS – check out this article featuring more on this new move from Everlane in VOGUE!

Lucas: You are my strong-willed, emotional, sensitive boy. Your new favorite thing to tell Daddy and I when you are upset is “you’re breaking my heart”. You say this with a scrunched up, pouty face and it’s all we can do to not smile and/or laugh (this usually happens when you’re in trouble..).
Lillie: I gave you a tiny taste of peppermint (from my fingers) this week and the look on your face was priceless! You began licking your lips looking for more. I am so excited to introduce you to solids in a month or two. Homemade apple sauce, here we come!
